Gerald (Jerry) Kinkel passed away in Carson City on May 6, 2023. He was born in Reno, Nevada on October 4, 1945, to Arthur and Ethel Kinkel.
Jerry graduated from Douglas County High School in 1964. Jerry worked most of his career in casino security starting as a guard at Harvey’s at Lake Tahoe and ending as Security Manager at Carson Valley Inn. He loved biking and could often be seen pedaling around the Carson Valley several days a week.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty; his daughter Kathy Moore, Grand children Natalia Chavez and Donovan Moore and his brother Michael Kinkel. He also had three great grandchildren, Rachelle, Angel, and Alex. He was predeceased by his father and mother Art and Ethel Kinkel; three brothers, Robert, Lewis, and William.
A celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
