About 3,000 gallons of water was dumped on Ormsby Boulevard after a truck tipped over on the curve at Ash Canyon Road about 12:55 p.m. Wednesday.

John Befurt, 53, of Dayton was treated at Carson-Tahoe Hospital for a cut and a sore shoulder after the accident, then released.

"I was headed around the corner and I was a little heavy," he said. "I felt the water shift and I knew she was going over."

The truck went off the road at the curve where Ash Canyon Road turns into Ormsby Boulevard.

It took until about 2:40 p.m. to clear the accident from the side of the road.

Befurt said he was driving south on Ormsby when the accident occurred.
