George D. Middleton, 57, a Carson City resident for the past 10 years, died Nov. 20, 2005, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born May 25, 1948, in Washington to George D. Sr. and Ruby Dunlap Middleton.
He graduated from Colorado Tech with a degree in computer science.
He married Wanda Vanderbout May 1996 in Reno.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Live Oak, Calif.
Mr. Middleton was a member of the Elks Club in California. He enjoyed going to the Nugget to play bingo and the slots and spending time with his dog and his grandchildren.
He served in the U.S. Army, retiring after 20 years of service. He was a Vietnam veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant son.
Among his survivors are his wife of Carson City; son, George Dale Jr. of California; daughters Debra Miller of Carson City, Angela Taylor and Annette Dixon, both of Kent, Wash., and Belinda Hicks and Laura Jackson, both of California; sisters Joan and Joy and brother Mike, all of Washington; and 18 grandchildren.
