• On Wednesday, Gardnerville panned a proposed ordinance to require anyone seeking an unrestricted gaming license to build 100 hotel rooms. The ordinance being proposed by the Carson Valley Inn and Topaz Lodge went to county commissioners on Thursday. Page A1

• A Minden woman was arrested for selling methamphetamine out of her hotel room on Tuesday night. Christina Basagoitia, 23, was arrested in lieu of $250,000 bail after narcotics officers served a search warrant on the room. Page A1
