Smoke from two fires burning near Moundhouse is filling northern and eastern Carson Valley.
The fires, known as the Linehan Complex, is actively burning more than 600 acres and has closed Highway 50 between Arrowhead Drive and State Route 341.
Residents of between 150 and 300 homes have been asked to evacuate.
