On 11/17/2022, the Douglas County Board of
Commissioners INTRODUCED the following
ordinance:
ORDINANCE: 2022-1612
TITLE: Ordinance 2022-1612, an ordinance
to amend Chapter 20.100 to prohibit
individual sewage disposal systems
(ISDS) and private on-site sewer treatment
facilities on parcels less than two acres
(net) in size and Chapter 20.650 clarifying
the zoning districts where municipal water
and sewer systems are required. It further
clarifies that, where municipal sewer
service is planned in the future, the use of
an ISDS or private on-site sewer treatment
and disposal facility is a
temporary use and engineered
denitrification systems may be required in
some zoning districts.
SUMMARY: Ordinance 2022-1612, an
ordinance to amend Chapter 20.100
