Clayton Dock, 55, of Fallon, Nevada passed away with his wife by his side October 17, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Bishop, California to Frederick and Jean Dock on July 19, 1967. From a very early age he always wanted to operate and repair heavy equipment. Upon graduating from Bishop Union High School, he attended West Hills College, where he obtained a degree in diesel maintenance and repair. After college he worked for the Inyo County Road Department and then as a Road Maintenance Supervisor for the Tecopa/Shoshone division. Upon moving to Fallon, he worked for C.O.D. Garage, Frehner Construction Company as a heavy-duty repairman/welder/field paver mechanic and Road and Highway Builders as a Master Mechanic.
Clay is survived by his wife Christy, their daughters Caitlyn and Carley, his brother Fred (Suzanne) Dock, sister Cindy (David) Kear, niece Stephanie (Matt), great nephew Garrett, brother-in-law Justin Clark, extended family and many many friends and colleagues. He is preceded in death by his parents and niece Willa Dock. “He was called home way too soon, but his love will carry on in the work that he has done.”

LORD, I THANK YOU FOR THIS JOB AND THE BLESSINGS IT PROVIDES. MAY YOU WATCH OVER ME THIS DAY AND KEEP ME SAFE FROM HARM. CREATE IN ME A WILLING SPIRIT AND A HAPPY HEART. GRANT ME THE AMBITION TO WORK HARD AND GIVE ME THE STRENGTH TO FINISH WHAT I HAVE STARTED. MAY MY HANDS ALWAYS BE PREPARED TO HELP ENLIGHTEN ANOTHER’S LOAD. A celebration of life (potluck) will be at our home in Fallon on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 11am.
