Westenskow fell 190 feet into an abandoned Nevada mine and died Friday after the unstable and crumbling shaft prevented rescuers from reaching him. Westenskow worked at a geothermal drilling operation in Nevada and had gone exploring Wednesday, March 2, 2011 with two friends during his off-hours when he fell into the open shaft northeast of Reno, authorities said.
