Douglas High School graduates Cade Pinther and Ty Jackson take a deserved break. Pinter is the son of Dr. Tim Pinther and Jill Purvance. Jackson is the son of Crystal and Scott Jackson. Both grew up in Gardnerville.

Firefighters slowing down Caldor Fire

Around half-million gallons of water have been dropped on the Caldor Fire in an effort to slow it down as it burns on several fronts from Placerville to South Lake Tahoe.
