The Tahoe Douglas Elks Lodge opened its parking lot to evacuees. Several Carson Valley churches have done the same, including High Sierra Fellowship and Carson Valley United Methodist Church in Gardnerville, Carson Valley Bible Church in Minden and Hilltop Community Church in Sunridge.
