University of Nevada, Reno Professor Emeritus Scott Mensing and a research colleague collect core samples at a wet meadow site in Nevada to study megadroughts. Core samples from wet meadows sites across Nevada showed a consistent period where no new sediment was laid down, indicating significant and lasting drought across the region.
