Man faces 5 years in prison in domestic battery with strangulation

A man admitted to committing domestic battery with strangulation on Tuesday after he put an older woman in a headlock reducing her ability to breathe.

Logan Alexander Peetz, 20, appeared in Douglas County District Court on Tuesday with attorney Martin Hart.

He has been in custody since the Nov. 27, 2023, incident.

Peetz faces up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine in connection with the battery.

He is not eligible for probation when he is sentenced on March 26.

• A Gardnerville man admitted he sold fentanyl near a park, which could result in an up to 10-year prison sentence.

Sean Klena, 23, was arrested Oct. 17, 2023, according to court documents.

He faces five years for the sale, with a five-year enhancement for selling within 1,000 feet of Lampe Park.

He is set for sentencing on March 19.

• A Gardnerville Ranchos man faces up to eight years in prison and a $10,000 fine after he admitted two counts of felony motor vehicle burglary.

Reece James Lindahl, 34, was arrested Jan. 5 after he was chased down by one of the people whose vehicle he broke into and held until deputies arrived.

Lindahl appeared in Douglas County District Court on Tuesday with attorney Maria Pence.

While the counts are the lowest level of felony, District Judge Tod Young confirmed with Pence and prosecutor Rick Casper that there’s no requirement to give him probation at his March 19 sentencing.

Lindahl was found with a half dozen credit cards with other people’s names on them. He was spotted on doorbell footage walking up to one vehicle, finding it locked and then entering another.

Lindahl has served three prison sentences out of Douglas and Carson City and was last paroled in June 2023. A 16-72 month sentence for burglary out of the capital expired in December.

Lindahl was sentenced to prison in 2020 for attempting to pry open slot machines with a tire iron at a Stateline casino in 2019.
