Stormy weather will delay the 11th annual Holy Smoker BBQ & Car Show scheduled for Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Gardnerville.

The annual event will be May 18, according to organizer John Hamer, putting it the week after Big Mama’s Show & Shine 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 11 in Lampe Park.

The annual event benefits Young at Heart and features scores of vintage vehicles 45 years and older.

Participants can find forms at youngatheartseniorcitizens.org or by calling Mike Damon at 949-633-1230.

The Holy Smoker show is located across Douglas Avenue from the church, the entry fee is $25 with registration starting at 8 a.m.

Lunch is $15 a person and starts at 11:30 a.m., with pulled pork, beans, potato salad coleslaw and lemonade.

Proceeds benefit local Carson Valley nonprofits. Visit www.trinitygv.com for more information.

The 19th annual Rappin’ To Minden Car Show is June 1 at Minden Park, sponsored by Northern Nevada Chapter of Inliners International  Car Club.

Non-Inline classic cars, special interest vehicles of all kinds including classic motorcycles, are welcome to join along with Inliners for $10 registration fee, as space allows.
