That wildlife refuge is located in Northern Nevada and the special hunt is a cooperative effort between the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW).
There are three hunt choices:
Choice A: Sheldon National Wildlife Refuge One: Sept. 20-21.
Choice B: Sheldon National Wildlife Refuge Two: Sept. 27-28.
Choice C: Grassy-Stevens Camp One: Sept. 27-28.
Hunter participation will be limited to 75 hunters per season by permit only.
The daily bag limit is 3 and the possession limit is 6.
Shooting hours are sunrise to sunset.
To apply, applicants must have a valid hunting license for the 2003-2004 license year (March 1, 2003-February 29, 2004).
Applications for a party hunt must be stapled and mailed together.
Applications must be received by no later than 5 p.m. on Aug. 29.
Prospective hunters may either mail their applications to the address on the application form or they can hand-deliver the form to the NDOW Game Bureau office, located at 1100 Valley Road in Reno.
Application forms are available at all NDOW offices and at all license agent outlets, throughout the state.
