Mobile RV service never closes

Carson Valley residents Bob and Joanne Kortan traveled around the country in a 30-foot fifth wheel for five months but Bob Kortan is back in town with a business to help people stay on the road with their own recreational vehicles.

Kortan is licensed and certified and said what makes BJ's Mobile RV Service & Repair different than other mobile services is that he never turns off his phone.

"I never close. I'm available all the time," said Kortan. "While other businesses take the weekends off, I go out on the weekends to help. If they need to call, 99 percent of the time it's because they need someone now."

Kortan said he is referred by many RV parks in the area.

"In the area where we live, there's always people traveling through and need help," said Kortan.

Besides Carson Valley and Carson City, Kortan's area of service includes South Lake Tahoe, Yerington, Topaz Lake, Walker River Resort, Lahontan Reservoir, north to Washoe Valley and south to Bridgeport in the summer.

"What I like about this is I get to meet so many people. I have knowledge they need and I try to help," said Kortan.

"Once I've helped you, you can call me with questions about your RV. I can walk you through it and a lot of time that will solve the problem."
