The Miss Douglas County Pageant will hold it's first meetings 6:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday at the Pizza Barn Restaurant in Gardnerville.
This pageant is an official preliminary for the Miss America Organization and is meant to help with the cost of further education.
Young ladies age 17-24 and at least a high school senior are eligible to participate. Parents are welcome to attend.
The pageant is slated for March 26 at Caesars Tahoe Showroom.
