Al and Lisa Del Vecchio of Minden announce the engagement of their son, Alfred A. Del Vecchio II, to Christianne Nickerson, daughter of Gary and Cindy Nickerson of Arvada, Colo.
Del Vecchio is a 2002 graduate of Douglas High School and a 2006 graduate from the University of Colorado, Boulder, with a bachelor of arts in astronomy. He was recently commissioned as an ensign in the U. S. Navy and has orders to attend Aviation Primary Indoctrination training in Pensacola, Fla., in August.
Nickerson is a graduate of Arvada West High School and will graduate from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2007 with a bachelor of arts in astronomy.
The couple plans an Aug. 19 wedding in Boulder, Colo., and will honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
