Friends raising money for family who lost home

Friends of Lisa Fricke will have a booth set up at tonight's Mumbo Gumbo concert to raise money for the mother of four who lost her home on June 19.

The concert is 6:30 p.m. in Minden Park and is sponsored by Re/Max Realty, Bing Construction and Sorensen's Resort.

Judy Muren said friends will accept cash, checks or gift cards at the booth.

"We'll go ahead and put it right into the bank account," Muren, a teacher at Gardnerville Elementary School said.

Friend Ali Hernandez said she is lining up contractors who will donate work to help Fricke rebuild.

Hernandez is coordinating relief efforts for the family of Lisa Fricke, whose home on Centerville Lane was destroyed.

Hernandez said donations may be made to any U.S. Bank in care of Lisa Fricke, account No. 153752271756.
