The Mark Castro Band will perform 7-11 p.m. tonight and Saturday night at Nelson's Take 5, 1435 Highway 395 in Gardnerville. The Mark Castro Band is a rock group from the Bay area. This trio is led by guitarist, Mark Castro.
The band performs classic rock songs from Chuck Berry, Santana, Jeff Beck, Hendrix and The Beatles, as well as songs that are not often performed by cover trios.
Castro's singer and bass player is Satia. Originally from New York, Doris Runcie, aka Satia, received her bachelor of music theory and composition degree from the University of Maryland. Before working with Castro, Satia was the leader of her original group, SATIA.
