Genoa resident Ron Funk called for the resignation of Town Board Chairman Bill Donohoe in a letter he read into the record on Tuesday. In the letter Funk accused Donohoe of micromanaging the town and being responsible for the departure of two town managers in the course of a year

Donohoe said he would neither resign as chairman nor answer the charges of micromanagement.

At the same meeting, Genoans presented a petition to the board in support of manager Tom Peters, whose last day was Sept. 29. The petition had 150 signatures on it.

There is a 40 percent chance of precipitation today as the high creaks up to 63 degrees under mostly cloudy skies, according to the National Weather Service.

This latest storm brought only a trace of rain to most of Western Nevada. Most of the moisture ended up north of Reno near Susanville and Portola.

The weather will clear up by the weekend in time for the Volvo Club of America to hold their West Coast National Meet at the Horizon Hotel in Stateline. The organization promises three days of fun, food and Volvos.
