Minden man injured in rollover accident

A Minden man was injured in a single vehicle accident at Kingsbury Grade and Buchanan Road late Saturday night.

Michael Alan Kopang, 23, was driving a red 2003 two-door Ford Focus west over the Grade when he failed to make a curve and crossed over onto the shoulder, took out a road sign and continued to roll down the embankment, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Kopang's Ford came to rest on its wheels facing northwest. According to the Highway Patrol, he was taken to Barton Memorial Hospital in South Lake Tahoe with a head injury. He was wearing his seatbelt. Troopers believe alcohol was involved in the accident and a blood sample was taken at the hospital.
