Mini art show winners chosen

At the reception for the Carson Valley Art Association miniature show at the East Fork Gallery Sunday, the winners were announced: Best of show, Eileen Merrill, "Tamarack Lake"; first place, Lee Netzel, "The Dog Show"; second place, Mechele Johnson, "The Old Mine"; third place, Richard Rose, "Stormy Sky." Honorable mentions were Nancy Clarke with "Woods Lake Creek," Margie Leslie with "The Deck Cat," Betty Warner with "The Water Nymph," Linda Townsend with "Hope Valley" and Carolyn Denning with "Reeds - B."

The miniature show (art up to 35-square inches) will be on display at East Fork Gallery, 1503 Highway 395, Gardnerville, through June 19. The gallery is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Information, 782-7629.
