9-4 WED Beekhof/Johnson

High School sweethearts Amanda L. Beekhof and D'Artagnan J. Johnson were wed June 2, 2007, at Heritage Park in Gardnerville. The ceremony was performed by Minister Patsy Newton and witnessed by friends and family.

The daughter of Peter and Linda Beekhof of Gardnerville, the bride is a 2002 graduate of Douglas High School and graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, in 2006 with a degree in human development and family studies.


The groom is the son of Richard and Lolita Johnson of Gardnerville and a 2002 graduate of Douglas High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, Johnson holds a degree in public health and business management and is a coach/counselor at Rite of Passage.

The maid of honor was the bride's sister, Ashley Beekhof. Bridesmaids were Michael-Ann Lazzarino, Brooke Johnson and Nichole Wright. The flower girl was Sailor Tingley and the ring bearer was Thomas Tingley, both cousins of the bride.

The groom's brother, Bradley Johnson, served as best man. His groomsmen were Robert Stockton, Chance Beekhof and Chad Blankenship.


Friends and family celebrated with the couple in a tented ceremony at Ferris Park in Minden. The couple honeymooned in Kauai, Hawaii, and have made their home in Gardnerville.
