For 23 years Esmeralda Avenue has been closed to vehicles so that a street fair may be enjoyed. The Minden Carson Valley Street Celebration is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday in downtown Minden.
There will be about 125 booths of arts and craft items, food, music provided by Crimson Collar and good weather has been predicted for the weekend.
"I've been checking the weather every day for two weeks," said event organizer Roxanne Stangle. "It's going to be in the high 80s, low 90s and no wind."
Member galleries from the Carson Valley Art Gallery Association will display artwork in CVIC Hall during the street fair.
"All businesses will be open," said Stangle. "Come and get to know your Minden neighbors."
The 23rd annual event is sponsored by the Minden Business Group. Information, 782-2444.
