New golf boutique opens in Minden

Solution Golf has opened next to All Pro Spas in Minden, offering golf enthusiasts a new place to improve their game.

"We're here to make any golfer better," said co-owner Gary Wood. "Simple instruction plus proper equipment equals spectacular results."

Wood said his store is not a full-scale golf shop but rather a golf boutique carrying KZG clubs custom fitted for each kind of golfer.

"We are the only facility in the Reno-Tahoe area that can give you a tour professional fitting experience," Wood said.

Wood, a resident of the Tahoe area for 31 years, described himself as a golf fanatic.

"It's a fulfillment of a dream to be involved in the golf industry," said Wood.

Co-owner Trent Galloway is a graduate of the San Diego Golf Academy and has been custom fitting clubs since 1994.

"We want to optimize clubs for any individual," Galloway said.

In the rear of Solution Golf stands a full-size hitting cage with a launch monitor. Customers can have their swing monitored by Doppler radar.

The system's computer measures everything from launch angle to ball velocity.

Galloway said that Solution Golf can determine what kind of clubs an individual needs.

"We remove whatever doubt you have whether or not your equipment is performing properly," Wood added.

Solution Golf is located at 1581 Highway 395 Suite A, Minden.

The store is open Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call 782-4960.
