'Forecast for Douglas County' meeting Feb. 27 in Carson Valley Inn

The Douglas County Building Industry Association is hosting "Douglas Today '08: Sustainable Business, Community and Lifestyle Challenges" 6 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Carson Valley Inn.

Christopher Simon from the University of Nevada, Reno's department of political science will discuss the current state of Nevada. County Manager Dan Holler will discuss the state of Douglas County, and Director of Community Development Mimi Moss will discuss community development in Douglas County. Rob Lohman and Ray Sidney of Big George Ventures will discuss sustainable development, and Rob Wigton of the Nevada Association of Realtors will speak on the local housing industry.
