The R-C Morning Report

First Street in Minden is closed while workers plant a water line to a development on the north side of town called The Ranch. The street's been closed for a couple of days, but there are lots of ways around it.

Meanwhile, work continues on the 6-acre Waterloo Center across from Raley's. The center will feature three buildings with 60,000 square feet of commercial space. And given the owners' desire to change the zoning to general commercial last fall, it's probably going to be home to at least one sports bar.

There was a non-injury accident at Highway 50 and Zephyr Cove at about 4:45 a.m. There's no reason to believe anything's still there. Otherwise the roads appear clear this morning. Besides roadwork in Carson, there's not much to worry about in that department this morning.

Today should be another one that is way too nice to stay indoors. Expect a high of at least 57 degrees under sunny skies. Friday will be a little warmer, but there will be some clouds on the horizon as a little disturbance cooks in on Saturday bringing a slight chance of rain.
