Search continues for missing man

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office continued its search over the weekend for a missing 62-year-old Jacks Valley man.

Dennis Kelly has been missing since 10:30 a.m. Jan. 14 when his wife said he left their residence to take a walk in the Indian Hills area of north Douglas County.

Sgt. Jim Halsey said 17 volunteers of the Douglas Sheriff's Search and Rescue Team and four members of the sheriff's office mounted posse combed the hillside areas surrounding Indian Hills and Jacks Valley on Friday.

He said the search and rescue team would continue their search efforts Saturday. Halsey said foul play is not suspected.

Kelly is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing approximately 170 pounds with a medium build.

He has gray hair, a long gray beard and blue eyes.

Kelly was wearing olive-green pants and a green flannel shirt when he disappeared.

Anyone who has seen Kelly, or has information is asked to call the sheriff's office dispatch center at 782-9935, ext. 7.
