Valley Super Bowl party happenings

Young At Heart Senior Citizens Club hosts a Super Bowl party, Sunday Feb. 3 at the Douglas County Senior Center, 2300 Meadow Lane, Gardnerville. Doors open at 2 p.m., kick-off is 3:15 p.m. There will be a raffle for small prizes donated by professional sport organizations. Bring something to share for the potluck. Celebrate Super Bowl at Sharkey's


Sharkey's Casino hosts the Smokin' Super Sunday Football Party on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 3 with a $1,000 Super Bowl pool, prize drawings, drink specials at 1 p.m. in the Horseshoe Bar and complimentary snacks of hot wings, meatballs, hot dogs and chili served during the game. Super Bowl at Carson Valley Inn


Watch the Super Bowl on four plasma screens and a giant screen in the Carson Valley Inn's Cabaret Lounge and on televisions in the casino and Fiona's Bar. Beer and armchair snack specials served in Café Cabaret during the game. Drawings throughout the day for shirts, hats and other prizes. The Carson Valley Inn is on Highway 395 in Minden.
