Historical society's art and wine festival Saturday

There will be art, wine, food and music at the Douglas County Historical Society's Art and Wine Festival, 4-8 p.m. Saturday on the lawn of the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center, 1477 Highway 395 in Gardnerville.

Area artists display and sell their work, wine from Lira's Market will be poured for tasting and food will be provided by the Carson Valley Lions Club and the Western Nevada Cattlewomen. Garian Music will be playing Celtic music during the event.

The event is $10 per person which buys a wine glass for wine tasting and access to the food, music and art.

Raffle tickets for a 30-bottle wine collection are on sale now in the Main Street Bookstore or at the event.
