Early results good news for growth ordinance

Early voters gave Douglas County Advisory Question No.1 an early lead with 10,22 votes to 5,427.

All three Republican candidates for county commission were ahead as of early results released through the Secretary of State's Web site at 8:01 p.m.

Both Greg Lynn and Doug Johnson were well ahead of their opponents, while Mike Olson's race against Democrat Nancy Epstein was a bit closer.

Republicans gathered at the home of Assemblyman James Settelmeyer had some good news as returns showed the first term legislator well ahead of opponents JoEtta Brown and David Schumann.
