Amber Alert issued

An Amber Alert has been issued in northern Nevada this morning by the Nevada Highway Patrol regarding a child abduction that took place earlier this morning in Yreka, California. This morning at approximately 4:37 am, a 3-year old female, identified as Francis Ann Collins, was abducted from her home by a 22-year old male, believed to be Cody Kaplon. Kaplon was identified from a photo line-up by local police in Yreka and should be driving a light green 1992 Pontiac Grand Am 2 door coupe with a California license plate number of 3WKA651. This vehicle should also have noticeable left side damage. The direction of travel from Yreka the kidnapper utilized is unclear so authorities want this information broadcasted in Nevada in the event he travels this way. In the event the suspect vehicle is observed in our state, motorists should alert the Department of Public Safety Communication Center by dialing *NHP (Star NHP) or (775) 687-0400.
