Walley's expansion discussion delayed until April 2

Douglas County commissioners delayed a decision on the expansion of Walley's Hot Springs until their April 2 meeting.

Commissioners are seeking a letter from the state that would confirm the project was able to install a tunnel between its two halves.

Part of the proposal is the installation of a pedestrian crossing at Walley's northern entrance. Without a decrease in Foothill Road's 55 mph speed limit, residents are concerned that someone might be hit crossing the highway.
