EDITOR:
Recently I suffered a collapsed lung. Although not life-threatening it certainly is a very frightening experience. My sincere and heartfelt thanks goes to Capt. Matt Hill, EMT Kevin Repan and paramedic Andrew Chrzanowski from Station 4 and volunteer Chief Dave Thomas and firefighter Graham Golden from Station 5. A real special thanks to Andrew Chrzanowski who looked after me all the way to emergency in Gardnerville.
After treatment there I was transported to the beautiful new hospital in Carson City by EMT Paul Azevedo and a very caring paramedic Sky Dwinell.
How very fortunate our community is to have such well trained and considerate personnel.
