A memorial service will be in June for Gardnerville resident James Carl Hildman, 61, who died of cancer on April 4, 2010.
Born Oct. 2, 1948, in Salem, Ore., to Al and Maxine Hildman, he grew up in Placerville, where he graduated from El Dorado High School.
He attended the University of Arizona and later moved to the South Lake Tahoe area to pursue his career as an appraiser. He continued as the head of James C. Hildman and Associates Appraisers until poor health forced his retirement in 2004.
Mr. Hildman enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing camping and boating, and spending time with his wife Tracy and son James.
He is survived by wife Tracy Hildman; son James K. Hildman, sisters JoAnne Haynes of Tennessee, Carol Davis of Arizona, Kathy Thornburg of California. Autumn Funerals & Cremations in Carson City is handling arrangements.
