A funeral Mass and memorial service is 11 a.m. Friday at St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville for Gardnerville resident Emmett "Bill" W. Vaile, 79, who died Aug. 17, 2010, in Carson City.
Born June 20, 1931, in Oakland, Calif., to Theresa and Frank Vaile, he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was was a retired member of Teamsters Local 70. He retired as a youth advisor with Job Corps in 1995 and moved to Carson Valley.
He is survived by son Brian W. Vaile of Antioch, Calif.; daughter Laura Pabon of Gardnerville; grandchildren Sarah Pabon, Jordan Pabon, both of Gardnerville, and Morgan Vaile of Antioch, Calif.; and sister Joanne Dobbins of Stockton, Calif.
