A funeral service is 11 a.m. Sept. 8 at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City for 25-year Minden resident Mitchell S. French, 49, who died Aug. 28, 2010, in Reno.
Born Jan. 11, 1961, in Santa Clara, Calif., to Robert and Etta French, he owned Carson Auto Air.
Mr. French loved camping, fishing, spending time with his sons, and MOPAR cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by wife Julie; sons Damyn and Mitchell; daughters Emily Burger and Amy Garcia; sisters, Sherry (Craig) Williams and Susan French; and granddaughter, Delainy French.
The family asks everyone to dress in jeans and T-shirts per Mr. French's request.
Burial will follow in Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.
