Longtime Gardnerville resident Lucile Elenore Skarsten, 91, died Feb. 15, 2010, at Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks.
Born Feb. 27, 1918, she worked as a registered nurse in Southern California for most of her life.
She moved to Gardnerville with her husband Kasper Skarsten in 1972 from Altadena, Calif.
Mrs. Skarsten's family followed her to Carson Valley over the years.
She is survived by sister Lois Noren; daughters Elenore Fleming and Shirley Plante; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
