Gardnerville family adopted at Christmas

EDITOR:

The Northern Nevada Holland & Hart Foundation was busy this holiday season helping families in need with gifts of cash, needed items and toys. In November foundation volunteers delivered $250 in cash and a $100 Walmart gift card to a family of four that had fallen on hard times in Gardnerville. Volunteers gave the family 75 presents filled with additional cash, gift cards, clothing, hats, gloves, basic necessities and personal items for each member of the family.

Volunteers also delivered $400 cash and gifts to a Reno family. During Thanksgiving volunteers raised money and donated over 200 pounds of food to Friends in Service Helping in Carson City, nearly 1,400 pounds of food to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada and over 500 pounds of turkeys to Evelyn Mount in Reno.

The Northern Nevada Holland & Hard Foundation volunteers are attorneys, staff and family members of the law firm Holland & Hart LLP of Carson City and Reno. Donations were made possible by volunteers' generous gifts of cash and items requested by each family. Families that benefit are nominated by the attorneys and staff at Holland & Hart.
