Toccata opens fifth season with Crystal Bay concert

TOCCATA - The Orchestra and Community Choral Artists of the Tahoe Area - kicks off its fifth anniversary season with the BAROCCO con COCOA concert series featuring the TOCCATA Chamber Orchestra, Chorus, and soloists.

Featured soloists include violinists Ruth Lenz and Andrew Sords performing concertos of Bach and Vivaldi.The chorus will present selections from Charpentier's Midnight Mass. There's no better way to spend a winter evening than hearing the warm sounds of baroque music and sipping hot cocoa during intermission.

Performances are Saturday, January 16 at 7:30 pm at Cal Neva Resort in Crystal Bay; Sunday, January 17 at 3 pm at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in South Lake Tahoe; Monday, January 18 (Martin Luther King Holiday) at 3:00 pm in the Squaw Valley Chapel; and Tuesday, January 19 at 7:30 pm at Trinity Episcopal in Reno.

Admission at the door is $20 adults, $15 seniors, $5 students and free for children 12 and under. Preferred seating is $35.
