Muller Lane to be shut down for power pole repair

Motorists should avoid Muller Lane which is being temporarily closed while workers fix a power pole one mile east of Foothill Road.

The pole was fractured by a single vehicle that ran off the snowy two-lane road and into an adjacent ditch.

The call came in at 3:53 p.m. this afternoon with initial reports indicating the female occupant of the vehicle sustained minor injuries including bruising around the eye and neck pain.

NV Energy crews are on the way to fix the pole. According to reports, power lines attached to the pole are not down in the snow, but rather "swinging in the wind."
