Alcohol charge reveals federal warrant

A 20-year-old man, charged with minor consuming, was held in Douglas County Jail without bail on a federal warrant in connection with mail theft.

Jonathan Delacour was arrested Saturday after he was picked up at a casino bus stop with three juveniles, including a 13-year-old girl whose blood-alchol content was .227, nearly three times the legal limit for driving.

According to reports, Delacour said he and a friend were at a bar with friends when the 13-year-old showed up drunk. He said he knew the girl and was trying to help her get a ride home.

He and the two other juveniles escorted the girl to the Starbucks stand at the Horizon casino where they were trying to get bread and water.

Delacour reportedly told officers the girl "all of a sudden became crazy and started making a scene," and they were asked to leave.

Officers caught up with them at the bus stop where they were hoping to get the girl a ride home.

The girl was taken to Barton Memorial Hospital for treatment and her mother was contacted.

A preliminary breath test indicated Delacour's alcohol content was .085.

A spokesman for the U.S. Marshal's office in Reno said Delacour had an outstanding felony warrant in connection with the theft of mail and the charge of minor consuming violated terms of his pre-trial release.
