Woman in jail for drinking while on house arrest

The ex-wife of a man allegedly murdered by her roommate in 2008 is scheduled to appear in East Fork Justice Court today on charges she violated her bail conditions.

Dawn Oxley, 37, was arrested Tuesday after deputies went to her home and found she'd been drinking, a violation of her probation.

Oxley, a Gardnerville resident, reportedly had a .219 blood alcohol content while she was on house arrest. She allegedly told deputies she'd consumed vodka that day.

She was on house arrest for two counts of domestic battery.

Oxley is the roommate of James Matlean, 23, who has been charged with the 2008 shooting death of Benjamin Oxley. Matlean is scheduled to appear in court on July 14.
