Carson symphony rehearsals begin Wednesday

The Carson City Symphony conducted by David Bugli begins rehearsal 7:15 p.m. Wednesday in the Carson High School band room, 1111 N. Saliman Road in Carson City. Openings are for strings, especially violas.

Carson City Symphony is a volunteer, community organization. Auditions not required. Registration is necessary. Information, 883-4154.

The concerts will be performed April 24 in the Bob Boldrick Theater at the Carson City Community Center, and April 25 in the Oats Park Arts Center in Fallon. The program, "Spirit of Exploration," features guest soloist Gail Williams in Horn Concerto No. 1 by Richard Strauss, and the premiere of "Becoming Mark Twain" by David Bugli, narrated by McAvoy Layne.
