The Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant at Lake Tahoe and Ski Run boulevards was named "Best of the Best" in KFC operations and customer service, the company announced in January. About 60 restaurants nationwide receive the designation.
The restaurant at 3668 Lake Tahoe Blvd. is co-managed by Patricia Blanchett and Gardnerville resident Salvador Castillo.
In order to earn the "Best of the Best" designation, a restaurant is measured on cleanliness, hospitality, accuracy, maintenance, product quality, speed of service and customer service metrics.
"Being named 'Best of the Best' is an accomplishment that marks the highest honor a KFC team can achieve," said Larry Roberts, chief operating officer for KFC Corporation."
