A celebration of life is 4 p.m. Saturday at High Sierra Fellowship for former Gardnerville businessman Alan "Al" Goheen, 68, who died March 9, 2010, in Gardnerville.
Born Dec. 18, 1942, in Salina, Kan., to John and Dorothy Goheen, he married Kathy Goheen June 1, 1971, in Las Vegas.
The family moved from Orange County to Gardnerville where he opened Al's Auto Body. He later became an independent contractor for the U.S. Postal Service.
He was an active member of the High Sierra Fellowship. To many he will especially be remembered as a car-man turned family-man.
He is survived by wife Kathy and daughters Allison Kirk, Traci Masters, Hollie Harvey, Kallie Goheen.
