Kudos to Madrigals

Just before Christmas last year, I had the pleasure of watching and hearing these young folks at a Carson Valley Sertoma Club Friday morning meeting. Mr. Z was a bit grumpy having arrived at Sharkey's Rib Room at O-dark-30. However the kids didn't seem to be bothered by the sub-freezing morning at 6:30 a.m. while wearing thin costumes and open-toed sockless sandals. Ain't it great to be a teenager and seem almost bulletproof?

Mr. Zabelsky teasingly mentioned that this year's group wasn't all that great. However during the next 20 minutes these young men and women proved him wrong. They completed complicated arrangements and showed great group harmony and nice solos. We are fortunate to have such a good singing group at our high school.
