Sierra Crest helped son

EDITOR:

We have been at Sierra Crest Academy since the beginning, and have been so grateful to have an alternative environment for our children go to school. Our oldest son is a 4.0 gifted and talented student that has been able to advance much faster than traditional school because they design his lesson plans around his future goals. Because of that, he was able to get a much coveted intern spot at Global Studios, where he was able to work on the anti-drug campaign that the state did, and has been able to spend many hours devoting himself to volunteer work. He has pursued sign language classes and is currently studying to teach English abroad. We feel strongly that the methods of learning that are used by Sierra Crest are truly valuable in real world applications.

We are petitioning that the school be allowed to continue to help so many students in our community. We still have two more years left of high school for our youngest, and we desire for him to have the same opportunities in schooling as his older brother had. We are hopeful that you will see the tremendous value that the school has, and support their efforts to give our children the best possible opportunities for growth.
