The developers of Clear Creek are seeking a modification of their development agreement to ride out the recession. Under the old agreement, they would have had to file the first final map by Nevada Day. They're seeking a delay until 2015. Once billed as a project with $1 million homes, developers built a golf course and an underpass on Highway 50. Planning commissioners meet at 1 p.m. at 1616 Eighth St. in Minden.

Friday is count day for the Douglas County School District, the day when the number of students determines how much money the district will receive. Superintendent Lisa Noonan will give school board members a preview of count day today at their regular meeting. School Board meets 3:30 p.m. in the Douglas High School Media Center.

Today's weather is sunny with a high near 77 and a calm wind becoming 5-10 mph in the afternoon. The rest of the week doesn't look like it's going to be very different.
