There was an accident in the southbound lanes of Highway 395 a little bit north of Genoa Lane this morning. The highway was down to one lane, but it looked like the accident would be cleared soon. There was one gold sedan hooked to the tow truck and not an ambulance or fire engine in sight.
Chiropractor Craig Martin Black is scheduled to appear in East Fork Justice Court this afternoon on a charge of battery with a deadly weapon for running over a deputy's foot during an August traffic stop. Black is not in custody.
It was windy last night and it's warm out this morning, but the high temperature is only supposed to get up to 76 degrees under mostly sunny skies on this last day of summer. Expect fall to warm up into the 90s for the weekend.
